I traveled to Sierra Leone with a group of students and professionals to provide the Abigail D. Butcher Primary School with clean water and electricity. The project was organized and funded through the Maryland Sustainable Engineering (MDSE) Program which is tied to the university's Engineers Without Boarders (EWB) Chapter. During the trip our team constructed a solar panel array and implemented water catchment/UV filtration system. The project continued on with an initiative to build a secondary school and plans for a community center.
